Campaign material

Visit the original Sweden: Sweden becomes first country in the world to apply for Trademark.

Did you know that there are eight places in the world called Sweden? However, there is only one original. To enhance Sweden's unique brand and avoid any confusion, Visit Sweden is now applying to trademark destination Sweden in true pioneering spirit. On 12 November 2024, Visit Sweden launched the campaign ‘Visit the original Sweden (Luxury of a different nature)’.

With campaigns that tend to fall a little outside what one might call 'traditional destination marketing', we strive to attract attention and make destination Sweden stand out. The goal is to create reach across all of the relevant media. We intend to attract both journalists and international tour operators, inspiring them to visit Sweden while boosting searches and googling of destination Sweden. The campaigns enhance and support Visit Sweden's other ongoing marketing efforts.
